Care Leaver 2nd Payment

Morning

Do we have to code the ILR different to get the second payment due the apprentice? We received the first payment with no problems but June marked the 120 days on programme and the second payment is not showing in our reports.

Apprentice started Feb 2024.

Have you checked your remittances from the ESFA, you will likely have received the payment there with the ULN in the description line. I believe there is a known issue where 2nd and 3rd bursary payments will not appear in the ESFA apps payment reports.

I hadn't thought to look there, will check the remittance for June when we receive it, fingers crossed.

Hi Christina,

Yes, I believe it should be in the remittance as Dean mentions.  In the recent 24/25 funding rules recording they did a section on confirming aspects regarding the Care Leaver payments and they mentioned then that the 1st payment would show in the reports but the 2nd and 3rd payment would show on the remittance.  Nothing was mentioned about that changing, but would be great if they could always show in the reports!
