Study Programme - Funding Clawbacks

Created

Hi, Please could I have some clarification. How does the clawbacks for Full Time Study Programme learners work?

Is there clawbacks and if so, when and why... I have tried to look this up and I am hitting a brick wall.

Thank you

Chantelle

Sorry Chantelle, going to need a bit more info. Grant or Contract provider? Clawback when/of what?

Sorry Steve,

we are a contract provider. So we deliver the training to the learner and they only complete 3 out of the 4 elements (Maths, English & Employability) but not all units in main aim, do we receive financial clawback for the learner not fully completing all 4 elements? even though we have delivered?

If we do receive clawback what % is this at and when in the year is the clawed back.

Sorry hope this makes sense. I know it will affect our success rates but does it affect us financially?

All study programme funding is generated from Planned Hours at learner level, not qual by qual or unit by unit. You wouldn't change the hours, so the funding won't change.

There's also no part of the calculation that relies on *achievement*, only *retention*, so if all the learners got to then end and aren't withdrawn from their core aim there will be no impact on future funding.

Thank you Steve. I understand it more now.
