CSE grade 2 and grade 5

Please can someone clarify if a grade 2 in Maths and grade 5 in English both at CSE are equivalent to a Grade A-C for GCSE?

I have check the excel sheet for comparison but it just states min grade 1 is acceptable so I just want to be 100% sure.

Thank you

Nope, as it says only grade 1, the highest grade, is equivalent.

Thank you so a Grade 2 at CSE would not be equivalent

As someone who was at school when CSEs were around I can confirm that CSE grade 1 was considered the equivalent of a grade C at GCSE. CSE grades 2 and below have never been equivalent to GCSE grade C or above.

Also, in terms of CSE, the higher the grade the lower the attainment.
