Scanning original paperwork

I have been trying to locate information on whether it is acceptable to scan original paper student records (i.e. learning agreements/enrolment forms/ILPS) and then dispose of the originals once we have confirmed the scan is readable. I have been looking through the available guidence and community postings but I cant seem to find a consistent answer. Any Help would be greatly appreciated

Hi
We did this during COVID, since then we are now all digital, as long as it is saved to a secure server-cloud for back up then we were advised it was ok to do so by the ESFA. It makes life so much easier, but its a mammoth task to do.
