24/25 Rule Violation help

Created

Hi,

I'm hoping somebody can point out what I'm missing as at the moment all of our new aims for August are getting errors. They are aims that would've been AEB prior to 24/25 so are now ASF. If I use Funding Model 38 (Adult Skills Fund) and no LDM, we get the error UKPRN_29 - There is no Adult Skills Fund funding relationship for this UKPRN, the same error shows if I add LDM-388. If I use Funding Model 35 (Adult Skills) I get the error FundModel_17 - This funding model is not valid for the start date of the learning aim so I think I'm right to use FM38.

We have contracts signed for 24/25 and I can't see any other LDM codes I should be using but obviously I'm missing something! Any ideas?

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your post.

UKPRN_29 has been switched off in Submit Learner Data, whilst an amendment to the rule is implemented. Please can the ILR file be resubmitted on Submit Learner Data?

Many thanks

Anna

Thank you for the reply, I've resubmitted the ILR file and it now has zero errors. However can you confirm that the way I am coding the learners is correct please (Funding Model 38 and no LDM code)?

Hi Steve

Adult skills funded learning is recorded using code 38 in the Funding model field. If your organisation has a ESFA Adult Skills Fund (procured from Aug 2023) contract for 2024 to 2025 you will also have to use LDM code 388.

Hope this helps.

Many thanks

Thanks for the reply Anna, can I just double-check this through before I start changing all of our learners? The LDM code 388 is 'Adult Education Budget procurement 2023', is this definitely required for all new aims starting 01.08.24 onwards?

Just following up on this, if the aim is recorded with Funding Model 38 and LDM 388 it triggers the error LearnDelFamType_116?

Steve, I think 388 is still right because they've rolled the procured contracts over. If it was a new set, there would be a new code.

According to V2 of the Validation Rules, FM38 (and FM11) *shouldn't* trigger it, but that is a change from V1 which *didn't* have 38 and 11 in it, so maybe that's not worked it's way through to SLD yet???

Steve Hewitt

V2 says:

If the Learning Delivery Monitoring code for Procured Adult Education Budget 2023 (AEB) ' (LearningDeliveryFAM.LearnDelFAMType = LDM and LearningDeliveryFAM.LearnDelFAMCode = 388 ) is returned, then the aim must be a Funding model 35 or 10, the source of funding must be Adult funded and the programme type must not be returned

error where LearningDeliveryFAM.LearnDelFAMType = LDM and LearningDeliveryFAM.LearnDelFAMCode = 388
and
(LearningDelivery.FundModel <> 35,10,11 or 38
or
(LearningDeliveryFAM.LearnDelFAMType = SOF and
LearningDeliveryFAM.LearnDelFAMCode <> 105)
or
LearningDelivery.ProgType is returned)

where "11 or 38" is red, ie only added in V2

Thanks Steve, I'll continue to add FM-38 and LDM-388 to all of these starts then and see if it goes through :-)
