Non levy record stopped by accident

Hi, we've had a non levy employer stop their learner by accident. I seem to remember possibly from one of the seminars that you can reserve more funding, and add a corresponding TNP3 and TNP4 and that will pick the funding back up. However I've just had a conversation with a helpdesk agent who said I needed to fully move the start date on the ILR to match the new record (nearly a year). Is there any other way of resolving this?
