Apprenticeship Success Rate Year - SAR Report

Created

None

I apologise if that has been covered before but I think its me getting confused with Frameworks and Standards.

We have a Standard Apprentice that has the following completion dates

Planned End Date: 25/08/2024 (2023/24)

Training Completion/Enter Gateway Date: 18/07/2024 (2023/24)

End Point Assessment Completion: 21/08/2024 (2024/25)

Which Academic/Hybrid End Year does this Apprentice's Success rate fall in? Does this Apprentice no longer fall into the Planned End Date Academic/Hybrid End Year even though they completed within 3 months of the planned end/completion date?

Yeah, three months has nothing to do with it, it's purely the date that you put in the field called AchDate that drives Hybrid end year. So, in this example, HEY will be 24/25 because it's after the first of August.

Steve Hewitt

Oh, wait! what's going on with your Planned End Date there? As that's post-1 Aug, this learner would *always* be a 24/25?

Peter Keating

Steve thank you as always. It will go in my head one day and then they will change it!

Peter Keating

What if the planned end date was 25/05/2024?

Steve Hewitt

Makes no odds to the final QAR but (unless there have been some dramatic improvements I've missed!), means the learner will "disappear" from this year's count in Pro-Ach where they've been counted since they started and now be in next year's.

Peter Keating

Thank you. So you could almost say that  any Apprentices that have planned end dates towards the end of the Academic year are likely to fall into the following Academic years Success Rate.

Steve Hewitt

Yeah, unless you've got one with a super-quick turnaround on EPAs...

Peter Keating

Not many of those happening
