Statement of comparability

Created

None

Hi,

Can anyone please let me know the following is acceptable or not?

I have a learner who has send me UK NARIC statement the the qual she studied in Lithuania is considered to British Bachelor degree standard.

However the statement says "Although the overall standard is higher, the Brandos Atestatas (cert of maturity) from Lithuania may be considered at least comparable to GCSE ( Grades A* - C) / credit standard grade, for every subject passed, with the exception of English language. English is studied as a second language and is not considered comparable to English language GCSE studied in the UK.

I'm not sure if this would exempt the learner form English L2?

Any help?

Thank you

Looks pretty cut and dried to me. We see this quite a lot in countries where English is not the language of instruction, so, yes, she'll still have to do FS2 English.

Thank you Steve, there is nothing mentioned about Maths, so am I right in saying that she will also need to take the functional skills Maths L2?

Is maths not on the list of subjects in her Brandos Atestatas? Google translate suggests it will be "matematikos"(!!!). If it's there then, per what Naric have said, she'd be exempt...

Thought so, thank you
