Reminder about the mandatory FE Workforce Data Collection – Don’t forget to submit all returns for your organisation.
The collection window will close Friday 17 January 2025. A workshop will be available in December to help providers return their FE Workforce Data.
The further education (FE) workforce data collection opened on Monday 14 October 2024 and will close Friday 17 January 2025.
This collection will:
·provide a better understanding of the implications of government policy reforms, including their impact on the composition of staff and their specialisms
·provide a greater understanding of contracts and pay in the sector
·reveal skills gaps in the sector
The Submit Learner Data team are delivering a workshop to help providers return their FE Workforce Data.
Topics included are:
1.Introduction to FE Workforce data collection
2.Specification and Guidance
3.Tools/Systems available to use to return FE Workforce data
4.The complete process/journey for a provider to prepare and submit FE Workforce data
The workshop will take place on Wednesday4th December 2024 from 1.00pm - 3.00pm.

The collection is separated into three strands, all of which are mandatory requirements:
· Staff level data: asking questions about members of staff, their contracts, and responsibilities.
· Provider level vacancy and organisation data: asking questions about organisation’s vacancies and ability to fill them.
· Governance Data: asking questions about FE College governing bodies (FE Colleges only).
We will be publishing outcomes in 2025, for the benefit of providers and key stakeholders, such as Ofsted and sector representatives.
