Learner PPED - new Apprenticeship Agreement and Training Plan

Created

None

Hi all,

I am sure I have read in the rules that the AA and TP must cover the full duration (including EPA) of the apprenticeship.

We have a couple of learners that will not be ready for gateway at their PED. They have not had the exposure to certain conditions in their job due to economic downturns and have therefore been unable to embed learning that has been delivered.

They have never been on a BIL so we have only the original learning aims on the ILR.

My understanding is that we should update the training plan to cover the additional activities needed and extend the PED accordingly, replicate the new PED on the AA and as such extend the expected apprenticeship end date (to account for EPA) accordingly.

The ILR will remain with the original dates, so as far as those stats are concerned the learner will be PPED, which is correct.

Please, can you tell me if my understanding is correct? Regardless of reasons, the AA and TP must always reflect reality to ensure the apprentice is covered for the duration of their programme - we just don't update the dates on ILR?

There's some debate at our end!

Thank you, as always!
