Am hoping someone can help. I have a potential 6 learners, who are sponsored workers, all have been in the country 3 years+ and all have leave to remain (weirdly though they have renewal dates on their permit cards). Are sponsored workers allowed to undertake an apprenticeship?

So, yes, they're legally here as workers and, if they've been here for three years, then they're eligible. HOWEVER, the problem comes with Rule 20.2. Their visas will have to last as long as their apprenticeship will, if the visas expire before that, they're not fundable.
