RPLE and top-up funding from employer
Created
None
We know that where a learner has no RPLE, we can claim up to the funding band limit (assuming we are not EP), and that additional costs of the apprenticeship can be funded directly by the employer.
If we have a learner with RPLE, we must calculate the difference in OTJ hours and use the formula in the Funding Rules to reduce "the maximum that will be paid using apprenticeship funding" (28.2.2).
There's mention of applying further discounts but nothing to specifically state whether the employer can pay top-up fees above the "maximum funding amount", if mutually agreed.
I have a gut feeling on this but does anyone know for sure please?
