I'd totally just leave it as 1&8. There's a very confusing bit of the PSM which suggests you need a new aim but, nah, wouldn't. You've had the 80% of the money already, so there's not going to be any more until they stop doing their EPA (pass or fail), so 1&8 is perfectly acceptable.

The PSM is clear as mud on Retakes! It talks about the "learning aim" but not the "programme aim".
We have a learner with an Action Plan following a failed EPA - which requires Retake. So their "learning aim" was already marked as complete when they went to gateway.
My understanding was that you marked the ZPROG as failed and then added a new ZPROG and Z00? is this not the case?

It's an absolute pig Carrie...
Personally, I leave my Programme Aims at 1&8 until I know they've either passed or are definitely definitely not having any more goes at the EPA. Setting the Prog to 2&3 and creating new records for them (with all the attendant faff and bureaucracy) to only have another go at (part of) the EPA seems like madness to me as it just doesn't reflect what we're doing.
(is fine for the component aims to be completed, just not the prog aim)

We have an apprentice who has failed an element of their EPA. The learner is going to need some refresher training and therefore is going to retake their EPA rather than re-sit it.
In this instance, do we just leave the learning aim coded as 1 & 8 on our ILR system or should we be reopening the learning aim?
