If they're on a Break in Learning, they can't do any learning (and assessments are "learning")?
If this is a maternity BIL, there's all the detail on Keep In Touch days being used for Apprenticeship learning (but even in those circs, you have to stop and start the BIL to account for the KIT days)? if it's not a maternity BIL, you could probably still do something fairly similar?

Are we allowed to complete assessments whilst the apprentice is on a BIL (she has requested it)
Have re-read the funding rules and cannot see anything that says we cannot ?
The only clear thing in the funding rules is :
Providers must record breaks in learning on the ILR in a timely manner and re[1]plan the delivery of any remaining training and / or assessment following a break.
