Virtual work experience - Post 16 Study Programme

Created

Can anyone help me to locate further guidance around the potential use of virtual work experience with a post 16 study programme for learners with SEN, a colleague has discussed Springpod as a possible suitable virtual opportunity where internal simulated or external placements are not suitable or do not align to the student course, aspirations & goals etc.

From the guidance it states: Work experience is a key component of 16 to 19 study programmes. The term work experience refers to all forms of work-related activity

However I cannot see it saying explicitly anywhere if this must be in person/face to face with the placement provider.

Thank you

It would definitely help give learners exposure to work experience as part of their WRA activities which ofsted want to see. However I don't think you could use as an actual placement as you need to show employer agreement, employment days/times etc, reviews and exit reviews.
