This is my first experience of reporting Supported Internships in the ILR and one of ours has secured permanent employment at their work placement. They are continuing to be supported by their Job Coach and are still attending the class based support and delivery around their shifts. But I am aware that the intended outcome has been met.
Is is acceptable to keep them on the SI programme of learning or should the Work Placement element be completed and achieved?
I cannot find anything in the funding guidance and the SI guidance below just states 'here is no legal requirement or expectation that the supported intern will be paid.' but does this mean that they can't be?
