Wage increase during a BIL

If an apprentice is on break in learning does need to increase their salary for the below reasons:

• Completed one year in apprenticeship programme (does break in learning count in the one year apprenticeship period)?
• If they are aged 19 or over and have completed the first year of their apprenticeship ( does break in learning period should be excluded from this)
