As long as they don't log more than their contractual hours for that day, that should be fine, I.e., not more than 8 hours if that is what their contract states.
Presumably, the 12 hours are across two days?
From experience, we have found auditors don’t generally like learners recording bulk entries across multiple days. If you allow this, you must provide backup evidence to demonstrate a breakdown of the hours.

Is there a maximum amount of OTJ hours that can be recorded at one time? For example, can 12 hours be recorded against completing a workbook?
