Hi all, I have this error message that has come up when validating my learner on the ILR:

ILR Aim 60145638 (start 01/12/2024): The start date of the learning aim must be between the effective dates of the Free Courses for Jobs category code 56.

There isn't a LDM or DAM code attached to the learner for FCFJ so i am a little confused.
Please advise.

Nicole Campbell - The fact that you do not have an LDM code for FCFJ is what is causing your error.

From ILR validation rules 24/25 -

LearnDelFamType_125:

For starts after 31 July 2024 (LearningDelivery.LearnStartDate > 2024-07-31) and are Adult Skills Fund funded (LearningDelivery.FundModel = 38) for learners aged 24 or over at the start of the learning aim ((LearningDelivery.LearnStartDate - Learner.DateOfBirth) >= 24 years), for aims that are level 3 (LearningDelivery.LearnAimRef = LARS_LearnAimRef and LARS_NotionalNVQLevelv2 = 3) and in the entitlement category (LARS_CategoryRef = 38), and where the Free Courses for Jobs Learning delivery monitoring code has not been returned the aim cannot be Adult Skills Fund funded

More details can be found in the full doc available here: guidance.submit-learner-data.service.gov.uk/24-25/ilr/appendices

(Search for 'LearnDelFamType_125' across the whole workbook).

Hi Phil,  the FCFJ LDM code has a valid to date of July 31st 2024.

Also, when i put it through Submit Learner Data there are no errors...

Nicole Campbell the LDM code you need is 378 (FCFJ no expiry) which it looks like you have and I think 391 - Earnings threshold.  - which I also think that you have. The combination of both supersede the expired code 382. As Submit leaner data is not throwing an error I think that you are good. Where were you getting the error originally if it was FIS are you using the latest version?

Hi all,

So apparently its the MI system i use... Other providers have reported the issue but as it goes through SLD with no errors, its all good.
