Would be sorely tempted just to withdraw them and then start them afresh once they've found a new employer. Not going to have drawn down money or magically become competent in anything in the first few weeks, so can start again with no more faff than changing employers would be...

Redundancy within 42 days

If an apprentice is made redundant within the first 42 days of the programme are they eligible for the 12 week grace period while they find alternative work? Just wondering which takes precedence, the 42 day rule or redundancy support. My instinct would be the 42 days but would like to hear your views.
