QAR Query Hybrid end year

Created

None

Morning all,

Im losing the plot slightly and doubting myself over a relatively simple query..

If we have an apprentice who actual end date was the 3rd October 2024, would that fall into the 23/24 or 24/25 Hybrid end year?

The R14 October is throwing me slightly.

Thanks all

Depends on what their Planned End Date and AchDate is (and, strictly speaking, which year you submit it), but remember R14 has a reference date of 31 July, nothing that happens after that date is included.

Usually 24/25 - Actual end date is in 24/25 and normally would be reported in 24/25 returns.
However it could be 25/26 if the apprentice was expected to end in 25/26 as the Hybrid end year is the latest of

Achievement year - Standards/Actual end year frameworks
Expected end year
or reporting year

There are some rules around breaks in learning where they may appear in earlier years if they don't return in a timely manner based on R04s but this is probably beyond what you are looking at.

Thank you both!

it looks a bit odd as we have 2 records:

1st record start date 13/09/2021, planned end date 18/04/2025 actual end date 10/07/2024 Withdrawal 3/3

2nd record start date 02/10/2024, planned end date 11/07/205 actual end date 03/10/2024 Withdrawal 3/3

both appearing in 24/25 Hybrid end year

Steve Hewitt

Yes, because both of their Planned End Dates are in 24/25.

Although the second one doesn't meet 42 days so should be excluded anyway...

Thanks Steve, it was mainly the 2nd one i was querying as the actual end date is later than the planned end date so thought it would override the planned end date

Steve Hewitt

Wait, is the Actual End 3/10/2025 on the second one? Because they should be HEY 2024.5 (ie not counting til next year)

Chris Ashfield

Hi Steve, no its definitely the 03/10/2024, it was flagged as a restart
