We use Cognassist to assess for learning support needs as part of our initial assessment but we then produce our own support plan based on the findings. This allows us to not only indicate how we will meet the needs of that individual apprentice, but also relate it to the specific apprenticeship standard.

Many thanks for this - it backs up what I believe we need to do (i.e. produce our own College Plan that details the needs / reasonable adjustments required and how they relate specifically to the apprentice's learning).

Does anyone have experience of using Cognassist to assess an apprentice's learning support needs? I know we also need to have a support plan that details how the identified needs will be met; does Cognassist also produce a plan that is Audit compliant?
We want to ensure we are claiming any Learning Support Funds that we are entitled to but I'm also aware that the funding will be clawed back if evidence is not robust enough.
