Hi Chris, did you get an answer to this? I have a learner wanting to start an Apprenticeship and the employer will continue to sponser them (and have done since 2022) Unfortunately the Visa expires in Feb 2027.
Am I correct in thinking they cannot start the apprenticeship until they hold a visa that covers the whole apprenticeship and that sponsorship has no bearing on this rule?

Does anyone know if an employer is able to sponsor an apprentice if their visa runs out before the end of the apprenticeship?
