R14 and EPA

Created

Morning all,

If we have an apprentice whose planned end date is June 2024, do we have to have their EPA achievement recorded by R14 submission?

I had it in my head for some reason that the EPA could roll into the next academic year and the completion payment would still be released?

Many thanks

So, all other things being equal, you'll get paid for it regardless of the date used, the main "fun" is which year it ends up in for QAR purposes.

I'd expect the majority of learners with a Planned End Date (ie end of practical period) in June to end up in the following year for Hybrid End Year purposes because most EPAs take more than 6 weeks to happen.

As Steve has said, the EPA gets paid whenever it takes place. The only time you won't get paid is if you miss recording an achievement in the funding year it occurred: e.g. recording someone with a May 24 achievement date (part of 23-24) in 24-25 data.

Thank you both :-)
