HECoS Collection is now live for OfS providers
Edited
Pinned
The Higher Education Classification of Subjects (HECoS) collection is now live within Submit Learner Data.
For providers who are registered with Office for Students, who submit ILR data (excluding providers who already submit student data to HESA (part of Jisc)), there is an extra return on the Submit Learner Data portal.
The HECoS collection is for providers to submit the percentage taught by HECoS code, against the Learn Aim References submitted in their ILR return. This collection replaces the previous collection of percentage taught by LDCS in the 2023 to 2024 academic year. All providers who were in-scope for the LDCS collection are in scope for the new collection.
HECoS codes are accessible through the Find a Learning Aim website. The data for the 2024 to 2025 academic year needs to be returned by Thursday 23 October 2025 in-line with the R14 date.
