Enter Learning Data is now available

Enter learning data (ELD) is now live for funded apprenticeship-only providers (and providers delivering Care to Learn funded courses) to manage their learning data.

ELD is replacing the Learner entry tool (LET) for creating individualised learner record (ILR) files. Some providers have already been successfully using it with their real data to generate their ILR files for submission. Several design changes have been made based on their feedback to further improve the user experience.

Creating ILRs is much easier and quicker using ELD due to:

  • reduced data duplication when entering learners
  • real time validation to improve data quality
  • guided user journeys
  • improved self-service with links to guidance
  • web-based service which allows multiple users for the same organisation
  • storage of data in the DfE environment
  • links to other DfE services

Additional funding models will be added to ELD over the coming year so that more providers can make the switch from LET to ELD.

For further information, please see our user guidance for ELD.

Development of this service is ongoing and we will continue to undertake user research. Please fill out this survey if you would like to take part in a future user research opportunity.
