LRS – Summer GCSE & A/AS Level Results 2025

Hi All,

It’s that time of year again for updates on loading of results to the Learning Records Service.

We know how vital the timeliness of results in LRS is to reducing admin burden of enrolment and we have been working with the Awarding Organisations to gain earlier sight of the results and to reiterate the embargo functionality in LRS to allow them to start loading their results earlier.

We have over 600k results already loaded for release tomorrow at 11am, A/AS Level results day.   Results for other types of qualification have also been loaded under embargo and will also be released tomorrow.

GCSEs are next are next week and we've had confirmation from AO that they will be following the same process for these as well. These will be release at 11am on 21st.

A big thank you to the AOs that have supported this process.

Typically, we expect to see around 5.5 million GCSE and A/AS Level results loaded to LRS each year and we are monitoring progress carefully.

I hope to post other updates as the results are being released.

Morning All,

A quick update on the position ahead of GCSE results day tomorrow.

LRS is in good shape for GCSE results day, in fact our best ever!

I'm still expecting more results to be loaded over the next couple of days, but we have over 4.7m results waiting to be released to the PLR at 11:00 tomorrow morning.

I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to the AOs for supporting this important work.

Andy
