Pre Merger UKPRN

Created

Hi All

We are a 6th form and this year we have merged into a multi academy trust which means a UKPRN change for the institution. Our student population is generally enrolled onto one or two-year qualifications and for those learners who are enrolled on two year quals, starting in 24/25, and have returned this year we will be populating the pre-merger UKPRN field with our old UKPRN as per the guidance. Any new starters, in 25/26, will have the new UKPRN included in the ILR file as normal.

So here's the question.... Do we need to do anything for two-year learners, that started in 24/25, that have not returned to continue their studies in the 25/26 academic year, due to withdrawal in 24/25, but may be included in QAR data? As these learners have an actual end date in 24/25 they are not currently being included in our 25/26 ILR. If the enrolments are not included in our 25/26 ILR we cannot update the pre-merger UKPRN field for these enrolments so how will the DfE know to match these enrolments to the new UKPRN when calculating QAR’s?

Do I need force these enrolments into the current year ILR to update the pre-merger UKPRN field or am I just over analysing this….? I have been liaising with DfE support re the point above but am still unclear...

Any responses greatly received.
