Yeah, this is fine, plenty of Apps are delivered like this "on purpose"! Would definitely be keeping a closer eye on the volume of OTJ if it's not something you usually do though (and, obviously, more work for the learner to log it all).
One other thing, "150 miles away" is still in England, right?
Thanks as always Steve Hewitt - he will still be based in England so that's OK. I'll relay your info to the delivery team so they understand the implication of this if they decide to go ahead (i.e. greater OtJ scrutiny!) 😊

Can an apprenticeship be delivered entirely in the workplace?
Created
We have an adult carpentry apprentice who started in September but needs to relocate 150 miles away. If his employer allows him to change sites (they are a national company), is there anything to stop us continuing to deliver the Standard but remotely instead of our normal day release? We would ensure the Off the Job logged is eligible activity, just as we would if he was in a workshop in college.
Our Skills Coach would monitor the ePortfolio evidence, Off the Job logging and ensure regular online sessions, task setting, reviews, Teams meetings etc.
I can't think of any reason we cannot do this but as we haven't done it before, thought I'd ask the question here 😊 I don't want to have to withdraw him if we are able to continue delivering the apprenticeship.
Thanks
