Break in Learning - Apprentice Unable to Sign
Created
We have an apprentice who needs a break in learning due to mental health and the employer has advised us that due to the issue the apprentice can not currently be contacted and its the employer requesting the BIL on the apprentices behalf.
We are happy to support the BIL, its a good apprentice however, as we are unable to get that apprentice signature as the commitment to return are we still able to use the BIL process and keep the employer comms as evidence or, should we be looking at a withdrawal as we cant get the apprentice commitment on the BIL?

As long as it's appropriately evidenced from the employer side, the lack of learner sig in this kind of situation shouldn't be a problem, you've got the story to tell an auditor why it doesn't look like the other BILs.
