How can I match my remittance advice to my period end reports

None

Is there a table anywhere that tells me which rows of the period end report relate to which rows of the remittance advice I receive?  I would love to be able to automate the matching process so I am confident I have received the correct amounts for the correct people, but it doesn't seem entirely consistent and the remittance does not always match the period end report.

Hmmm, not heard many reports recently about the Apps Monthly Payment Report not matching the remittances? We know there's a thing with second and third payments for Care leavers not appearing on the report and Employer payments can come on a separate remittance pdf...

Matching line to line to line can be a headache because the names on the remittance aren't immediately comparable to those in the report, but doing a pivot based on Funding Line Type in the Monthly Payment Report is probably the best place to start? Then looking at those values vs what's on the remittance to work out which is which?

Obviously, you're likely to have differences between what you're *expecting* and what both the Report and Remittances say unless you're entirely DLOCK-free, have every PMR in place before completion, record every withdrawal in the month of the Last Day in Learning and never take on anyone who has studied the same standard before (difficulty level: IMPOSSIBLE)

Thanks Steve. I'm trying to automate the process as much as I can by dint of matching the rows on the period end reports to the amounts in the rows of the remittance advice, to make it easier to see where there are discrepancies, and I thought I was pretty much there. However, on checking yesterday I found that something on the remittance advice for February had not been assigned as I expected. I threw in the towel at that point and need to go back and review, but it just occurred to me there might be a table somewhere that does this matching for me. Why can't they just use the same breakdown for each? Or at least share what goes where?

Well quite, and that's before we get to the R13/R14 reconciliations...
