Unexpected additional payments Apps Indicative Earnings Report

Created

None

I have a new starter for March who just scrapes into the 16-18 bracket (he's 19 on 1/4) but on examining the indicative earnings report I can see that the additional payments for both employer and provider are scheduled for March. Just to make sure I wasn't going mad I checked a learner who started in November and we only received her payments in February, which is what I would expect. If there has been a change in the rules I can't find it. I have to give the most accurate figure I can to our finance team, because we're at the end of our financial year and it will need to be accrued. I don't want to include something we aren't going to get. Has anybody seen the same thing?

Has he previously been registered on the same apprenticeship with another provider? Just wondering if this might be the second payment rather than the first (you will get the second payment if he was on programme for <365 days with the previous provider, then started with you).

Of course! That's the solution. He did start with another provider and employer, but resigned due to not getting along with his manager. Had it been consecutive, this would have been the correct month. Thank you!
