If your residual total amount after a COE = £1000 (TNP1+TNP2) then like processing increase/decrease of EPA and absorbing into TNP1 the same would apply.
If the TNP2 was £500 and is now £600 your TNP1 would now be £400, (TNP 1 = £400, TNP 2 = £600, Total is still £1000.
Could you imagine invoicing the employer....
Follow up, I've had a response from the service shown below, so it looks as though I need to treat it as a change of employer, without it being a change of employer, BUT does anyone know if this will impact the money we've already had from the employer, or will it simply reshuffle the money from the date the new TNP3 and will the ILR let me do a TNP3/4 update without an employer change.

Change of EPA cost for an apprentice who has changed employers - Follow up 18...
Edited
Morning,
We’ve had an increase in EPA costs for one of our standards and are currently updating the ILR for the affected apprentices. For those who haven’t changed employer, the process is straightforward enough. However, does anyone know the correct approach for an apprentice who has previously changed employer?
Creating new TNP3/4 values treats it as another employer change and pushes the total above the funding band maximum. - we've absorbed the price difference.
Please tell me there’s a simple fix!
Thank you
Christina
