We have had to use this rule a few times but you'd have to get the apprentice to gateway by 15.05.26, if that's possible?
120.2. Where an apprentice has changed employer after they have completed all
the training and reached gateway, including where the new job role is not
related to the apprenticeship, the apprentice may complete the end-point
assessment in agreement with the end-point assessment organisation and
the provider, so long as the end-point assessment can be successfully
delivered and funded.
120.2.1 Providers must contact apprenticeship service support to get
approval to report this change to us and to receive the
technical details for claiming the completion payment.

Apprentice Lost Job Just Before Gateway

We have an apprentice who has quit his job just before entering Gateway - he has about 3 weeks left of his Practical Period. His last date of employment will be 15/05/2026.
After 15/05/2026 he has 30 days within which to start with new employer; during that time we act as a 'proxy employer' for funding purposes.
Can we still get him through Gateway? He has a new employer lined up but they are in a completely different industry.
