Apprenticeship Mandatory Documents

Hi

Does anyone know whether the three 'Compliance Documents' (as per 'Evidence Requirements Step by Step Doc 24-25'), have a requirement to be signed before the apprentices start date? The guidance does state that the Training Plan 'should be agreed before any training is delivered' but the requirement for the other two doc's (Apprentice Agreement & 'Written Agreement with Employer) isn't that specific and only states 'Must be signed by both parties'.

Very much so because if there's no Apprenticeship Agreement signed before the start date*, the learner isn't an Apprentice on Start Date.

*at the very very worst, signed within the same calendar month as the App starts but this will get you a Management Letter Point

Thanks for the reply Steve Hewitt.

The guidance is very clear regarding the signing of the Apprentice Agreement but it's the document we call the 'Training Agreement', which is the agreement between provider and employer, that I'm not clear on as the guidance doesn't explicitly state it should be signed before the start date.
