In a recent external webinar i attended, it was mentioned that for Apprenticeships the sample size of 50 had been reduced to 30. This was due to the fact that visits were taking place remotely and all evidence would have to be uploaded and scanned to the auditor. This was for the 1920 audits that were taking place prior to Christmas so assuming this will continue while lockdown restrictions are in place.
I don't think the ESFA actually publish anything about assurance visits now, but it would be nice to know what their programme at least looked like e.g at what points in the year they are conducted and what academic year will be their primary focus.

ESFA assurance sample sizes
Created
Evening folks,
I seem to recall a document (going back a few years) that outlined the ESFA's approach to sample sizes however I've been unable to locate anything of the sort now. Does anyone recall this document and know where it is or, if not, where I may be able to find detail on the sample sizes used by the Agency's assurance teams now?
Thanks,
Darren
