As Steve points out, the LRS security certificates are only relevant to providers who have access to the LRS web services (APIs). This is generally where they will have an MI system or bespoke software that talks to LRS directly, and means the provider can obtain ULNs or view the achievements of learners without needing to visit the LRS web portal.
We're only sending the email comms about the certificate changes to providers that have access (or perhaps had in the past) to the web services. If you're confident that your organisation/MI system doesn't communicate with LRS directly and only interact with LRS through the web-based portal, then you can ignore the email (it may be worth double checking with your colleagues/MI supplier though?)

Can anyone clarify what the messages about downloading a new Certificate from LRS are about please? I passed it to our IT department who said know nothing about it. Is it only for providers who link to LRS to verify ULNs in their MIS or something?
