Hi, if the learner went on a break in learning on 11/03/20, why did you enter 01/04/20 on the ILR? Surely even if the learner had returned in September they would still have started the break in March? If the last day of learning is 11/03/20 I believe you will have to return the March payment, we have used the EAS where we have had similar issues.
Thank you, Chloe and Martin. We entered 1.4.20 as the BiL was due to Covid and the last learning date was in March. When she did not return we have to withdraw her but as it was back in 19/20, we want to check if we can change the end date to the actual end date.
Many thanks for your replies.
I have similar situations but they are classroom-based learning expected to complete in the last ILR year. So, they were planned to study from November 2019 to July 2020 but had to take a BIL in March 2020 with the intention of returning November 2020 so they went on the final ILR with those dates - November 2019 to March 2020.
However Lockdown 2 came and they couldn't return November 2020 so they have not been on any ILRs of 20/21 thus far. Now Lockdown 3 arrived and they have decided they won't be returning. I now need to update them to Withdrawals but can I put a November 2019 to March 2020 aim on the 2020/21 ILR?
As per the Migration Specification these learners should have been carried over to this year as indicated below.
Learning aims that were closed due to a break in learning where the learner has not restarted their learning aim by 31 July 2020 and is still on their break in learning at the start of the 2020 to 2021 ILR year must be migrated into the 2020 to 2021 ILR.
You should carry them over to the current year and then you can then change the BIL to a withdrawal in the previous year.

Hello,
We have an apprentice who went on BiL on 11 March 20 with Covid-19 reason, planned to return in September 20. However, she is not returning. We entered 1/4/20 as BiL date. Since she did not return in September 20 are we allowed to keep the March funding? If not, hdo we return through EAS?
On ILR, we have to change the status to 'withdrawn' but can we change the date to 11 March from 1 April?
Many thanks for your help.
