Apprenticeship applicant with UK Ancestry visa?
Created
None
We have an apprenticeship applicant who has lived in the UK for two years, and is here on a UK Ancestry visa. I wanted to check I was correct in thinking that because they haven't been living in the UK/EEA for at least three years, they aren't eligible for apprenticeship funds?
Just need someone to confirm! Thank you

All other things being equal then, yes, someone here just on an ancestry visa for two years wouldn't be eligible.
Thank you for replying Steveh - they sent me a copy of their UK residency card, and it says they are leave to remain on the card. Would this change anything at all? Thank you
Ah, no (I've made this mistake before), it's only Indefinite/Exceptional Leave to Remain (which is mainly for successful seekers of asylum etc) where they get to avoid the three year rule. Your prospective learner won't be eligible for another year.
