The funding summary report reflects the Indicative earnings report but the calculations performed by FIS and the SLD are different as they are based on the ILR data from the return (FIS) but the SLD also checks the R14 from the previous year and this will result in differences in funding where adjustments has been made to data after the close of the previous year.
I find it best to check the indicative earnings report to identify the funding differences.

Its a pity the ESFA isn't more transparent about the differences in the processing between the FIS and SLD reports.
There used to be document on the funding reports a couple of years ago but it seems this is no longer maintained. Whilst it covered difference between the monthly payment reports and remittances it didn't cover FIS/SLD differences.
Our recent Apps Indicative Funding reports have shown significant differences lately between the FIS version & SLD version

Funding Summary Report - FIS vs SLD differences
Created
Hi all,
After a little guidance if anyone can help to decipher the Funding Summary Report. I'm comparing the report between the version produced by FIS and the version created when you upload a file to SLD. I''m aware that things like DLOCKs, etc can affect the amount of funding recorded in the SLD version. The two versions of the reports are only £50 different however when i'm looking at 2 funding lines in particular there is quite a difference between the two.
For example, in the FIS version I see this -
16-18 Apprenticeship Non-Levy Contract - £100,000
19+ Apprenticeship Non-Levy Contract - £50,000
In the SLD version I see this -
16-18 Apprenticeship Non-Levy Contract - £110,000
19+ Apprenticeship Non-Levy Contract - £40,000
It appears the funding is moving from the 19+ pot to the 16-18 pot. Could this be something related to an age category somewhere that's different between the two systems or something completely unrelated? How would you go about unpicking this? It's been like this since at least the R05.
Thanks,
Andrew
