19-24 Traineeships clarification.....

Can anyone help with the following questions from our Curriculum Team please?

English and Maths

• Can we do non regulated learning? Is this fundable? See P11 of traineeship guidance and P44 of AEB guidance. Traineeship guidance suggests that they are subject to the same condition of funding as study programmes, and that they have to work to a higher level than prior attainment. AEB guidance isn't clear - p44 190 does this suggest that we can do non regulated E&M. 
• If we offer traineeships for 8 - 10 weeks would we be expected to differentiate between those completing non reg and accredited. For example if we have a trainee who is capable of completing an accredited qual - P8 of traineeship guidance states programmes should be completely individualised for the core elements. If this is the case would we be better filtering trainees into Adult E&M provision to accommodate for the amount of varying levels / abilities?

• Vocational 

  • Can this be non regulated? How do we know what learning aims are funded, the funding amount and where we find these learning aims? P14 traineeship guidance. Is this also funded from AEB?
