Funding lower level quals

Hi can anyone clarify if you can sign up a learner for a level 2 qualification under the adult education budget if they already have existing qualifications at a higher level such as a degree or level 3/4?

Hi

We have but it all depends on what qualification they want to do, is there any cross over between the courses they have already done.  For example if someone has a degree in Hospitality but has decided they want to change their career route to Stonemasonry then that would be perfectly acceptable based on the local flexibility rules (assuming you are in an area that Stonemasonry would lead to employment etc.

If however they have a degree in Hospitality and want to do a level 2 in Front of House then we would be a pretty firm no as there would be too much cross over.

great thanks what about those already in employment who want to then undertake a level 2 I know this would be co funded subject to their earnings/benefits

just a bit uncertain about any learners who are already employed
