Learners leaving just after start

Created

Hi,

We are a Employer provider and had X5 learners start end of December 2020 and haven't been able to see them since. They are now withdrawing from the program due to changes in their employment meaning they can no longer continue. Can we withdraw these back to the first date in learning so they don't effect our success/ retention rates? If so how is this done?

Thanks

The guidance to correct this in the ILR is:

Learners reported in the previous year as continuing who have now been identified as withdrawn
On the learning aim, set the Completion status to code 3 ‘withdrawn’ and complete the Withdrawal reason field with the relevant code. Record the Learning actual end date as the last day the learner was in learning: this will be in the previous ILR year, do not use 1 August of the current year.
You must add a Destination and Progression record for this learner if applicable.

Hi,

Many thanks for the prompt reply to bring up about previous year the learners are in the previous calendar year and not funding year. Will that make any difference to the process?

Thanks

Sorry, for starts in the current ILR year just withdraw them back to their last day in learning, or if no learning was undertaken you can just delete the ILR record.

Great thanks for the guidance.
