As long as the previous employer was classed as ACT2 then you just continue as you are. It's my understanding that if the employer was levy (ACT1) then you need to close that Act record with the date the student was made redundant and add a 2nd ACT record as ACT2. I can't remember the full details but the ILR Spec/Provider support manual or the App funding rules have a detailed example of this and what needs changing.

Hi, I have an apprentice sadly being made redundant on Friday, He is 80% complete and within 6 months of PED, and will be gateway ready in May. We have evidence of trying to find work, dismissal letter. He is Non-levy. Do I only need to record the change in employment status to continue his funding to completion. Currently, we haven't found an employer to continue him with but he wants to continue and complete.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
