Transfere from Framework to a Standard

Created

Hi

I have had a request from a Levey employer who has 2 members of staff on a old framework apprenticeship qualification who would like to transfer them from the framework on to the Standard , when the apprentices were enrolled the new Standard assessment plan had  not been published.

The learners were then put on planned break due to the pandemic.

Can you advise me whether I can transfer them to the new Standard ST0008

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards Sue

So, theoretically, yes, this wouldn't be against the Rules.

However (I bet you knew that was coming), the problem will be how much of the KSBs of the new standard the learners have already done as you can't teach it again, so will they have sufficient left to meet 20% OTJ over 366 days? So, if they only did a couple of months on the old framework, I'd imagine it would be fine, but once you get towards any meaningful chunk of the framework, I'd suspect you're going to struggle? You'll definitely need an absolutely water-tight skills scan to show precisely what you're delivering/not delivering.

Hi Steve

Thank you for the advice, I will ensure the skills scan is watertight, do I also need to reduce the funding claimed

Inevitably, yes, in that I'd imagine the skills scan will show you don't need to teach chunks of the standard, so reduce the TNP accordingly.
