Strange ILR errors today

Created

None

Has anyone else had strange ILR errors this seem to appear, disappear, or increase after submitting files to the SLD today?

We are seeing OTJActHours_02 and LearnDelFAMType_102 errors for data that hasn't been changed in some time.

Anyone else getting this?

Hi Richard,

We have these today too, the OTJActHours_02 is fine as that's in the rule violation guide and I thought that one was already switched on - there are learner's we should have returned the actual OTJ hours for where it has been missed. The other though is not on the rule violation doc and I think it shouldn't have been switched on, I can't find any guidance that refers to that error.

Where you find errors not current in the published validation rules you can get a short description from the sandbox in the FIS download in IlrReferenceData.json under MetaDatas ValidationErrors.

OTJActHours_02 Actual Hours for Off the Job Training must be returned.

LearnDelFamType_102 A valid LDM code must be returned for this LARS category code.

Sorry I didn't explain myself very well. It was due to the fact that we suddenly saw 3 OTJ errors when an earlier ILR build that day had none. The data didn't appear to have changed, so I built a new ILR and submitted this to the SLD and the OTJ errors went upto 20+ as well as getting the other error which wasn't there earlier.

I'll check it out again today!

yes, I have 41 that have appeared for NO reason since i ran it through on Monday ????

I expect they have updated the validation rules on the SLD before they published them. If you check the validation report you should be able to identify what is erroring.

I've sent this to the Service Desk now:

Dear Service Desk,

We have starting getting this new ILR Error since yesterday. It is not listed in the latest validation rules. According to the details in the  ‘detailed report’ from when we upload an ILR for checking:

LearnDelFAMType_102 - A valid LDM code must be returned for this LARS category code

FundModel=35|LearnAimRef=60043283|LarsCategoryRef=45|LearnDelFAMType=LDM|LearnDelFAMCode=378|

The FieldValues comment above describes FAM code 378, which is not in our data for any of our learners. So this appears wrong in the error FieldValues comment.

FAM Code 378 is:

Code

Title

Description

Required for ESFA Funding Calculation

Valid From

Valid To

378

Adult Level 3 Offer

This code is used to identify adults learners that undertake a specified Level 3 qualification as part of the Lifetime Skills Guarantee programme through the Adult Education Budget funded via the National Skills Fund.

Y

01/04/2021

But this is not valid until 1st April 2021.

Can you please have a look at why this error is suddenly triggering? Presumably we couldn’t add in FAM code 378 as it’s not valid yet..?

Thanks,

Richard

Richard Phipps it will be interesting to se what they come back with. Would you mind sharing their response please?

Richard Phipps

I got this reply after I finished work on Friday:

There seems to be an internal issue with the LearnDelFAMType_102 error in SLD returns – the ILR team are dealing with it now and it should be turned off later today. Please can you do another data file submission, either later today or Monday.

Michelle L

Morning, Having looked into this a little more, I don't see the OTJActHours_02 Actual Hours for Off the Job Training must be returned being required at the moment. It appears in the ILR specification: 2021 to 2022??

Martin West

It is there this year

ILR specification: 2020 to 2021
