Apprenticeship agreement

Created

None

Hi

Any clarification would be much appreciated - before I go slightly mad :)

The apprenticeship agreement.

These are the notes from the 19/20 document regarding the end date

3. When the apprenticeship agreement must be in place
An apprenticeship agreement must be in place when an individual starts a statutory apprenticeship programme and should remain in place throughout the apprenticeship. The end date, for standards, is when the end-point assessment has been completed. The end date, for frameworks, is when the final relevant qualification has been completed.

This is the guidance for 20/21

3. When the apprenticeship agreement must be in place
An apprenticeship agreement must be in place when an individual starts a statutory apprenticeship programme and should remain in place throughout the apprenticeship. The end date is when the end-point assessment is due to be completed.

So now has the 'end date' become a 'planned end date'?  Are providers estimating the EPA date based on approx 3 months after the planned practical end date?  Or are providers still leaving it blank and the updated when the EPA has been sat.

Thank you

Sharon

Pretty sure we were never meant to be leaving a field blank to be filled in later? Although I see why the change of tense was made, to clarify this (!!!). So, yes, the field that is called end date on the Apprenticeship Agreement should be completed at the beginning and be when you expect the EPA to be completed (he says, picking his words very carefully in an attempt to avoid any confusion about what we put in the ILR!)
