Hello Martin,
I must admit I am slightly confused.
1. If that is the case, but it still appears in the report, what is the point in the code and we still need to make the payment?
2. This has me the most confused. So on the co-investment report there is only 1 non-levy apprentice but we have multiple non-levy employees and many of them over 19 (there is even another one at the same employer that started at the same time that is not on there).
3. I completely understand. Do we need to make note of this on the ILR when if it is paid and if so, where?
- You are exempt from recording the payment in the ILR when you use this code.
- Age makes no difference as it is not a factor, it is only if they are non-levy that they must pay co-investment excepting for SME’s and those funded via a levy transfer.
- You record any payments on the Apprenticeship financial record using code PMR 1 and 2.

Hello Martin,
Thank you for your response.
I am still really confused by number 2 (Sorry). We have two apprentices at the same non-levy employer. One of them is showing up on this co-investment report, but the other one is not. For the life of me I cannot understand why. The employer has paid the 5% employer contribution, but I have no idea why they would need to pay at co-investment for one of the apprentices' but not the other.
If it is a small employer the following applies:
Extra support for small employers
P133 The government will fund all of the apprenticeship training costs, up to the maximum value of the funding band for the apprenticeship, for employers employing fewer than 50 people if, on the first day of their apprenticeship, the apprentice is:
P133.1 Aged between 16 and 18 years old (or 15 years old if the apprentice’s 16th birthday is between the last Friday of June and 31 August); or
P133.2 Aged between 19 and 24 years old and has either:
P133.2.1 an EHC plan provided by their local authority; or
P133.2.2 or has been in the care of their local authority as defined in paragraph P117.

Hello,
I'm hoping you can help.
I am just looking at our co-investment report and I am confused by a couple of things on there (this is the first time learners have appeared on here):
1. We have an apprentice ourselves listed. We are a non-levy employer. I have put on their ILR form LDM code 356 but it is still showing that a co-investment is required. Is this correct?
2. One of our learner's employer is non-levy and so has accessed funds on the digital apprenticeship service but they are still showing on the report as requiring a co-investment. I'm not sure how this can be the case?
3. The other one of our learners on there is a Levy learner. I presume this co-investment is because they have run out of Levy funding. In terms of the amount that we need to collect, is it all of that figure listed or is it 5% of that?
