Existing employee undertaking apprenticeship
Created
I have a couple of EYE apprenticeship applications in Early Years settings for existing employees. In both cases they have part-time jobs (one as a meals supervisor, the other a caretaker). The employer is happy to give them their 30 hour apprenticeship contracts and the OTJ time but wants them to continue with their current part-time (10 hour) jobs as well. Can anyone offer any guidance? Can they have two jobs with the same employer or would we have to calculate the OTJ on the total hours?
TIA

The guidance does say: Where an apprentice has more than one job, working hours refers to the hours of the job the apprenticeship is linked to.
