Funding 36 Complete - new enrolment Funding 25

Good Morning.  We have a learner aged 18 (on 31st Aug 2020) who has completed an Apprenticeship (36 / 105) in January 21.  They are now wishing to enrol onto a classroom course (25 / 107) for the remainder of 20/21.

Can we claim 2 different funding streams if the App has been complete?

Usually when we have learners doing an App and a classroom course at the same time, we fund the App and set the classroom aim to 99 - non funding.

But I am not 100% when the App has been set to complete if we should do the same or if we can claim 25/107 funding?

Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

The guidance is: the institution must make sure it is not drawing down two sources of ESFA funding for the same period of time.

As the enrolment onto the study programme is after the completion of the Apprenticeship you will not be claiming funding for the same period of time as the study programme earnings will only reflect the hours after the apprenticeship was completed.

Wonderful thanks for confirming.  I thought it was for "same period of time".

Where a study programme student transfers to an Apprenticeship the study programme earning for the whole year are retained once the qualifying period has been completed but your scenario it is different as you will not be claiming funding for the same period of time.
